Review of Frost/Nixon (2008) by Kenneth B — 28 Dec 2011
I certainly went along for the ride on this one. Sheen and Langella are both spot on, as is the scripting. The build up to the interviews is interesting enough but by the time we get to the fourth day I find myself exhilarated.
I'm not concerned with how accurate it all is, I haven't seen the original interviews and I don't really plan to. This is entertainment and as long as 'truth' isn't subverted for sinister means (like in John Wayne's The Green Berets) or as part of an inherently flawed film (that will be The Green Berets again) then I don't feel the need to look much further into it.
