Review of Frost/Nixon (2008) by Johnny H — 09 Jan 2012

I applaud the acting from this film's two principle players: frank langella (academy award nominee) & michael sheen (i can't believe this is the same dude from underworld). both actors reprise their stage roles and their transfer to the big screen is seamless.

both men embody their real-life counterparts and exude a tension and excitement that can be felt throughout. some people believe heavy make-up or a lot of yelling make for a great performance. this film and these actors are proof that subtlety and restraint send out just as strong a message.

I believe this is the least impressive of the five best picture nominees - but this is the one acting coaches will pull out to teach their students how it's supposed to be done...
