Review of Frost/Nixon (2008) by Aarshin K — 17 Feb 2012
Ron Howard's take on the Richard Nixon and David Frost interviews takes on a rather straightforward vehicle and fills it in with layers of drama and flashes of humor. Frank Langella is spot on as disgraced President Nixon. As is his counterpart, Michael Sheen, who plays David Frost.
The interviews are a spectacle in and of themselves, but the background is where Howard evokes the raw power of an international entertainment icon throwing tough questions at a brilliant world leader.
Tense, dramatic, funny, and keenly interesting.
