Review of Frost/Nixon (2008) by Daniel L — 06 Apr 2012
Fascinating subject matter and an amazing performance from Frank Langella. If anything this film created sympathey for Nixon, which I appreciated. Something felt awkward and I hated Sam Rockwell's character.
Michael Sheen, in my opinion, always looked like a deer caught in the headlights, which felt strange. I think this is a great film for history, but it has an obvious liberal bias. If anything the film made me want to investigate the actual interviews and see the real Nixon and how he handled the same event.
I mean WHY watch this film as opposed to watching the actual interview? That is an interesting topic for thought.
