A rather brilliant take on the cannibal horror film that also mixes in a bit of the older nazi-sploitation genre as well, minus the naked babes and plus some in-breeding. in any case, this is a must-see for fans of horror, but may be a turn off for others.
a bit of a retread, but at least the ending made sense within the context of the film, unlike a certain other french horror movie I also like a fair amount (i'm talking to you, 'high tension.').
