Review of Frontier(s) (2007) by Teddy D — 24 Aug 2010
Young thieves, and a pregnant girlfriend, flee Paris during riots amid a political election. They end up at an Inn that turns out to be run by neo-Nazis. Not only that, but they're cannibals too. I thought this was a great twist on 'backwoods cannibals', an old Inn out in a desolate environment, weird girls, creepy dudes, an old frightening Nazi.
Can't go wrong. Lots of people bash it because it's in the style of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and other such films, but I just found it a breath of fresh air for that genre of film, and I love these French movies where the woman is always the ass kicker! Rock on.
