Review of Frontier(s) (2007) by Terry M — 20 Nov 2010
One of my favorite contemporary foreign film. It plays off of political ideology and typical run of the mill horror. I didn't really know what to expect from this film, so the opening scene riot kind of through me off in a good way.
By the time they got to the sick Nazi family in the middle of nowhere (Ode to Chainsaw Massacre) I was into the film. It is a great play on an old horror formula (TCM, Hills have Eyes, etc. etc.) I really enjoyed everything about this film.
Not only is it gory; but it is visually excellent. The beat up girl covered in mud and blood running is visually one of my favorite horror scenes. Def watch this movie! Good Concept Good Execution!
