Review of Frontier(s) (2007) by Wes S — 21 Mar 2012
This all out bloody slasher film hits the ground running and doesn't stop til the very end. This french subtitled horror film is like a combination of all the great road trip slasher films. When protesting and violence breaks out in the ghetto's of Paris a group of young friends try to get out after a shoot out with the police.
After getting separated they agree to meet at a small hotel in the country, holding up in a hotel and waiting for the rest of their friends the first two guys to show up walk into a nightmare when the twisted owners are not who they seem to be.
I can tell you that as far as plots go there is nothing here you haven't seen in any other horror/slasher film...but that doesn't mean it isn't worth watching. Altogether visceral and tense slasher thriller with some solid performances.
