Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Amanda A — 19 May 2009
The best Bond film yet made.
The crux of a good Bond film is the villain, and this really worked. Lotte Lenya's Klebb stole all of her scenes, by being just silly enough to be fun, but not enough to make it ridiculous.
Bond is believable too. Nothing he does is too over the top, but it's still fanciful enough to enjoy his actions.
