Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Tim C — 08 Apr 2010
Still one of the best Bonds. James Bond second outing still has some newness to it and begins to introduce more of the traditional Bond elements with over the top killers, secret above-the-government conspiracies, and a great opening.
Russia also does a great job capitalizing on the finess of Bond's character and his charm. A little slow (but deliberate), and might be hard for some newer viewers to keep interested. It does suffer in that it was followed by Goldfinger which does a better job keeping a balance of action, romance, and story.
