Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Bryan P — 09 Dec 2010
I love this movie because the plot is basically that the evil organization, SPECTRE, is all pissed off at Bond because he killed Dr. No, so they send Robert Shaw to kill him (and Shaw makes for an awesome villain here).
Maybe it's just me, but I think Bond is at his best when he's up against the Russians. The last half of the film on the train reminds one of some of Hitchcock's best work. Also the first Bond movie with it's own theme song (albeit over the end credits and not the opening).
