Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Jay J — 24 Nov 2012
This is one of my favorite Bond films. I prefer my Bond films to be spy espionage thrillers with high octane action, and thats exactly what this movie is. While Goldfinger is considered the best Connery film of the series, this one is my favorite because of it's good pace and performances.
Connery is my favorite Bond because he's a mix of what everyone wants, the witty smart ass with some good one liners like Roger Moore, but also having him act like Ian Fleming's Bond from the novels.
The action is really intense and a blast to watch and the tension is astounding. The plot is fantastic and realistic considering it involves the Cold War which in my opinion is a great plot device for a Bond film.
So check this one out if you love some realistic espionage James Bond!
