Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Jordan S — 27 Nov 2012
I am a huge Bond fan, and I truly love each movie for what each one is. That said when I rate Bond movies, I rate them against themselves and not the entire Hollywood movie population.
From Russia with Love defines Sean Connery's Bond. Although missing his classic introduction and famous martini in hand, Connery shows us his Bond cares about the girl but if put to it will choose the mission. The plot was great and the hand to hand combat scenes were very very well done for their time. The first inside look at Spectre is also present here and their villains don't disappoint. Definitely one of Connery's best Bond movies.
