Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Jc E — 04 Sep 2015
While Dr. No started the legendary franchise, it didn't feel like a 'James Bond' movie. From Russia With Love took everything that Dr. No had laid out and expanded upon it. A more intriguing plot, a more relatable bond girl, and a group of villains with clear motives from the very beginning of the film.
The action was definitely more exciting and even though made it 60's, still entertaining. This is the film where the 'James Bond Formula' began to form and overall, an enjoyable spy film.
