Review of From Prada to Nada (2011) by Steve S — 05 May 2011
** (out of four).
Camilla Belle is sweetly appealing in this fairly average updatinig of the Jane Austen classic novel "Sense and Sensibility".
Two sisters living in Beverly Hills are devastated by the death of their father. In debt they are forced out of their mansion and into their aunt's home in East L.A. There they try and adjust to their surroundings and find romace.
There really is no reason for this film. Updating it adds nothing. Though some of the performers are quite appealing, it just isn't substantially plotted.
