Review of From Paris with Love (2010) by Glenn S — 20 Apr 2011
It was short. That was good, because frankly, I would not have made it through a two hour John-Travolta-is-shooting-everbody-in-his way movie. The pace was much too fast for what could be considered a serious build-up to the climax. It was also too fast for some serious relationship build-up between Reese and Wax. Less shooting, more build-up.
That being said, Rhys-Meyers and Travolta did a good job with their characters. I bought the chemistry, although the final scene seemed forced to me, because of the missing build-up.
The movie was a fine action movie, it was quite a good comedy, but not a thriller.
