Review of From Paris with Love (2010) by Dan D — 12 Oct 2011
If you're after silly frenetic gun fights, car chases, copious explosions with a silly plot & little substance then is right up your street. A typical Luc Besson film really! It's like Die Hard on steroids!
Starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers sporting rather dubious facial hair Cary Grant would been ashamed of & an American Accent which must be best described as an "I'm from Boston" excuse!
John Travolta is excellent as an undercover ops agent who doesn't quite do it by the book. Travolta has arrived in Paris to thwart a terrorist attack on a delegation with the help of Rhys Meyers who has been hoping one day to actually do this sort of job. Will he be up to the job or will personal issues stop him from getting his dream job as it turns out that he is a pawn in the terrorists planned attacks.
