Review of From Hell (2001) by Mareen K — 17 Mar 2009
I like the overall atmosphere, as usual I love Johnny Depp, I love Robbie Coltrane (though throughout the movie I thought he was Brendan Gleeson), I liked Heather Graham for the first time and Ian Holm scares me.
I was also impressed how well they reconstructed some of the documented events. Unfortunately there was just too much stuff in there. Way too much. The movie does not seem to be sure what it wants to be.
