Review of From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) by Connor G — 28 Jan 2013
Well, it was interesting, and I think it kind of proves that the styles of Tarantino and Rodriguez don't really mesh. The first half of the film was great. It was like a Reservoir Dogs-Pulp Fiction dialogue film with an interesting and entertaining story about a pair of fugitive brothers on the run.
Then, they cross the border into Mexico and arrive at the strip club. Oh, crap, here comes Rodriguez. From the moment Salma Hayek transformed into a vampire it got so ridiculous that I was on the floor laughing.
I understand that this was a B-movie, but don't B-movies have some standards too?
