Review of From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) by Al M — 30 Jun 2011
While not intellectual in even the remotest way, From Dusk Till Dawn remains a thoroughly entertaining, hyper-stylish, and unforgettable horror-action film from two masters of the genre: Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.
A screenplay by Tarantino, direction from Rodriguez, and an all-star cast (George Clooney, Harvey Keitel, Tarantino, Juliette Lewis, Cheech Marin in multiple roles, Salma Hayek, Danny Trejo, Tom Savini, etc.
) come together to create a funny, hyper-violent, and cool-as-hell story of a pair of robbers who hijack a family and end up in Mexican strip club full of vampires. It that set-up sounds repulsive to you, then don't bother.
But if it sounds even remotely interesting, then you will not be disappointed.
