Review of From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) by Mitchell G — 23 Jul 2011
2 times that I have watched this. First when I was underage second when I was 18 (18 in Finland is grown up... at it's age, physically, but not mentally necessarily...). It's really rare that I watch some movies more than once. It must be really good to watch it more... well except friends haven't seen it so, I had to watch it too, because they landed on my room :/ Well, it was long time ago when I watched this the first time so I gave it a second change, and not for nothing. Awesome movie, of course when there's Tarantino. He's the best of 'em all. In acting, directing and writing. What can I say.
If I could born to be anyone, I would be Quentin Tarantino. NO QUESTION ABOUT THAT.
But back to film. Undoubtedly not the finest Tarantino, not the rough shaped or clean cut diamond, but gold anyway. Vampires are not easy subject to make believable, cool or scary, but Tarantino managed to make them be cool, by learning more of them and using everything that's possible in their and our world.
I say:
It's okay. Nothing less, nothing more, it is 4.
