Review of From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) by Shane D — 18 Jul 2012
It has been a long time since I last saw this, over 15 years. Watching it again I was surprised and pleased by a few things. Firstly, this is a look at a Clooney that I've completely forgotten about, young(ish), cocky and mean.
It's truly one of his best performances upon reflection. Secondly, Tarantino whilst being a little awkward was perfectly cast and does a pretty decent job as a neurotic maniac, a shame he hasn't attempted further roles despite the loud roar of his acting critics.
The last surprise was how trashy and hilarious it was, Keitel is brilliant and this might be Lewis's finest moment. Great stuff.
