A delicious display of decadent deaths and brash badassery, Robert Rodriguez's slick road flick packs a real bite. George Clooney's B-grade antihero is terrific and Quentin Tarantino's self-written creeper role is equally chilling as it is comedic.
Harking back to classic grindhouse cinema of the 1970s, toying with audience expectations and taking no prisoners in the makeup and prosthetics department, Rodriguez's film is gratuitous, ultraviolent fun from start finish. A must see for fans of either director.
