Review of From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) by Samuel M — 18 Feb 2011
A film that is split into two distinct genres, being crime and horror, respectively, is an ambitious idea. With that, From Dusk Till Dawn is uneven. The crime portions are very dark and deal with very serious subject matter, while the horror portion is campy, cheesy, and even self-referential.
This all adds up to a film that is good in parts, but not as a whole.
