I feel that with FDTD Rodriguez started developing his very own special style which comes nicely polished and all perfect in PLANET TERROR. In "From Dusk..." it seems that some of the black comedy-style jokes are just.
.wrong or falsely placed. Some of the characters act strangely, inconsequently which is slightly disturbing for the flow of the movie.
