Review of From Beyond (1986) by Matthew G — 15 Oct 2007
This movie was pretty damn good. Jeffrey Combs is the man and has yet to let me down in a role. In fact, I was pretty happy with all of the performances and the script which is based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft.
For an 80's film the special effects were very good, with the exception of one scene near the end. It was also pretty gross, so this film isn't for those of you with a weak stomach.
If you like horror movies, I highly recommend it. And if you like it, I also recommend Re-Animator and Dagon which are also Lovecraft stories that were done well.
