Review of From Beyond (1986) by Loner Moves . — 23 Mar 2008
Whilst this is one of the better Empire Pictures offerings, the pacing is flawed. It had great potential and some impressive effects for the time. Plus the sight of Ken Foree running around in tight orange speedos is just too funny.
But even though it's concept and look are pretty great, the whole film nosedives later in the hospital, dragging on for ages with no real reward. The ending however with a sobbing and hysterical Barbara Crampton is darkly effective.
'He ate him!!!!!!'.
