I like Lovecraft, I like Re-animator, I even like Jeffrey Combs, but it has to be the worst movie I've ever seen in terms of directing and acting...
At least the second half of the movie with its crazy gore fest kinda rehabilitates the whole thing. It's fun but cheap and not credible or immersive one second, especially compared to Re-animator.
