Review of From Beyond (1986) by A Z — 13 Aug 2008
A delight of an 80's horror film, but ultimately too overrated. The story is a great mix of over the top horror typical of the eighties, and the ingenuity of Lovecrafts imagination.
Hampered by a weak script, and a studio that on one side want's to ride on the success of Re-animator, but on the other side were reluctant to release a grotesque film as 'The Beyond'. And some unconvincing dialogue...
It probably only deserves two and a half, but being a kid of the eighties, I grew up on movies like these. So three it is.
