Review of From Beyond (1986) by Jessica H — 08 May 2011
This movie used to make me physically ill as a kid. And with good reason. That said, it's a pretty deep set of ideas, expressed in the goriest fashion possible. Jeffrey Combs, as always, gives a fantastically nutty performance that is the exact opposite tone of his signature role as Herbert West, and Stuart Gorden does an excellent job with a minimal of resources of creating an insanely cosmic horror story.
Not for the squeamish, but well worth it.
