Review of Fritz the Cat (1972) by Kevin H — 06 Jan 2012
Hey, what about MY soul, you fink? (i love that line).
Bottom line - Gritty, realistic, and subtle, but I can't tell what bakshi tries to parody.
The saving grace is the ame as All Dogs go to Heaven - it really feels as if this was how it would happen in real life. the convuluted story seems perfetly made up as they go along, the dialogue sounds like actual people talking (Fritz is third only to Gollum and Zigzag in best voiceover performance because it's theatrically perfect but sounds totally from the character).
People got fired if all they wnated to do was draw jubbly fox tits. People forget that!
