Review of Fright Night (2011) by Martin H — 20 Apr 2012
Viewed for the second time and a much better movie than I gave it credit for originally. My original review "Massively disappointing when compared to the classic original. This remake lacks the humour and coolness of the 80's classic.
The highlight of the whole movie was the cameo from Chris Sarandon who turns up to be bitten by the guy who's replaced him as Jerry, Colin Farrell. Farrell isn't bad here, he does his best but he's just not Sarandon.
Tennant is nowhere up to the level of Roddy McDowall as Peter Vincent. Nor is Anton Yelchin who replaces William Ragsdale as Charlie." 3/5 on second viewing 4/5.
