Review of Fright Night (2011) by Catherine T — 03 Jun 2012
A lot better than I expected. Colin Farrell was, um, fang-tastic as Jerry, the vampire next door. His performance was a throwback to proper, non-sparkly vampires. (Yes, boys and girls, once upon a time, vampires drank human blood and didn't glitter.
I know this comes as a shock.) Of course, the reason I originally wanted to watch the movie was David Tennant, who played "vampire expert" Peter Vincent. (It was that clip of him in the wig and leather trousers.
I'm sorry.) He did well, but pretty much everyone was overshadowed by Farrell's performance.
