Review of Fright Night (2011) by Derrick M — 30 Jun 2012

I really liked the original Fright Night. I wasn't expecting much from the remake. I was surprised it was actually decent. I felt it did a good job putting a modern spin on the story. I really like how it pokes fun at Twilight and Chris Angel.

I like the fact that Farrel plays a raw, blood thirsty vampire that is not "brooding or lovesick. He's the f-ing shark from Jaws." No sparkles in this flick. I still like the original better, but this movie does a good job of telling it's own story.
