Review of Fright Night (2011) by Gary K — 04 Jul 2012
Not a direct remake of the original, but a fun update on the concept. Unfortunately, the CGI ruins some of the tension as it is obviously manipulated for the 3D release instead of relying on tried and true make-up effects.
If you can ignore a few gaping plot holes and just enjoy the ride, this "Fright Night" offers enough neat tricks and creepy visuals to hold its own in a crowded genre.
