Probably my favorite vampire movie; so smart and funny and scary.
I'm totally not gay but CHRIS SARANDON as Jerry Dandrige is the most HANDSOME and sharply-dressed vampire ever: SUAVE, DEBONAIR, without being urbane.
BIG-BUDGET and intelligent and made in 1985 "a best year" for horror movies:
LIFE FORCE, DAY OF THE DEAD, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, THE BRIDE, DAY OF THE DEAD, RE-ANIMATOR, FRIGHT NIGHT all during the same SUMMER.
While watching last night, I noticed PETER VINCENT (Roddy McDowell) holding the stake in the wrong direction during a parody of a HAMMER FILM.
A very funny and self-aware story and film!!!!!!!
