Fright Night is an awesome horror comedy with great monster make up effects that come close to An American Werewolf in London. Fans of Bela Lugosi's Dracula and Hammer horror will enjoy its references to classic movies.
Getting a British thespian (Roddy McDowall) whose days of fake vampire killing are far behind him is a perfect partner to take down a real vampire. It has a few humorous moments and it's gloriously 80's.
Its climax is a bit long and for a movie called "Fright Night," there's barely a scary moment, but it's hard not to enjoy it.
