A classic horror film. Great combination of 80's schlock and great scares. I love the special effects and gore mainly because it's actual. Instead of using CG crap like they do nowadays.... it's real.
And because it's real... it's truly disgusting. Great acting all around, Chris Sarandon is great. My only qualm is the character Evil. He's extremely annoying. Other than that... it's a lot of fun.
