A quality 80's vamp horror with a perfect vein of comedy throughout. Chris Sarandon is a perfect as the charismatic vampire. The special effects are pretty decent apart from a few odd stinkers. For those who like me have a love for 80's films, this really hits the spot.
It always seems fresh and withstands multiple watches. What makes it for me is Roddy McDowall as the dramatic and theatrical Peter Vincent. Fright Night just keeps gaining momentum and is one of the 80's best vamp horrors.
