This was a pretty good view. I never got to see it when I was younger, presumably because my parents didn't enjoy dealing with nightmares. It still holds its own as a vampire flick and doesn't go too pansy on the vampires themselves.
I'm going to watch the sequel and hope that it doesn't ruin the first real, modern vampire movie, imho.
