Review of Friends with Kids (2012) by Brian M — 05 Jan 2014
Grade: B.
Friends With Kids is an unusual and fairly decent rom-com about two single friends who decide to have a baby together, but not actually be together. Despite their friend's protests, they think it will be a good idea, but along the way one of them has a change of heart. I think that there were good performances from Adam Scott and Jennifer Westfeldt, although I didnt think that there was much chemistry between them. I don't think that as a romance it was very believable and seemed a bit forced. Neverthless I did enjoy the film; a major downside was that Megan Fox was in it; that girl CANNOT act. She always plays the annoying dumb whiny-voiced airhead with the brains and personality of a goldfish. Rant over. Good film, good portrayal of relationships, but as a romance it wasn't the most convincing.
