Review of Friends with Kids (2012) by Don S — 18 Aug 2014
Short Review: I really enjoyed this for a number of reasons. Firstly, everything felt real and when I was watching it just reminded me of people in my life, and how they react to others. It just felt so very true, and also it definitely had this Harry met Sally feel to it, and this movie really was just funny.
There was this great tone to it, and it weaved in and out of drama so well, the cast was so great, the stand-outs for me were Rudolph and O'Dowd who just made me laugh as the ccorrupted family after kids, but still loved each other.
The only problem I had was that at some points I just didn't believe Westfeldt in the lead, and just thought she was a bit more plastic and wooden compared to the rest of the cast who were so much stronger in their roles.
