Review of Friends with Benefits (2011) by Freddie S — 18 Oct 2013
I have seen a lot of negative reviews about this film, I'm not sure whether it is the lack of or too much age but for me this is exactly how I expected and wanted it to be.
You've got the laughs, awkward or not they made me laugh nonetheless. Some of the jokes were fairly dirty, but a teenage film enthusiast isn't going to complain. The story line was well thought out and despite throwing in a few romance cliches it cemented well into my mind, even making me want my own friend (at this moment in time without the benefits) who reflected Jamie's warm personality. This film had me investigating the life of Justin and Mila out of pure curiosity, but the film all said and done was one of the better rom-coms I've seen, and certainly doesn't deserve most of the harsh reviews it receives.
