Review of Friends with Benefits (2011) by Richard M — 05 Jul 2012
Quite enjoyable romcom. For me, it kind of failed to deliver at the end. I left the theatre slightly dissatisfied. Nevertheless, it's worth the money for a movie ticket - a rarity these days. Timberlake was surpisingly good and Mila was very convincing. However, for me, it's the supporting characters that made it fun and put heart into the story. Richard Jenkins and Patricia Clarkson are never wrong. Jenna Elfman is perfect as Dylan's sister. Woody Harrelson as Dylan's gay friend: who can resist. I think I'd totally love the film if I was a couple of years younger. Now, it is just a nice afternoon at the movies.
PS: also loved that Mila made fun of Justin for liking Harry Potter ;).
