Review of Friended to Death (2013) by Shelley S — 24 May 2014
Friended To Death is a witty film with fun, over the top characters whose antics are both hysterical and heartbreaking .The film illustrates just how far a social media addict might go to find out who his real friends are.
After getting fired and losing his best friend, Michael Harris, a detestable parking enforcement officer played by Ryan Hansen, decides to find out if anyone would care if he died. So, being the social media addict he is, Michael fakes his own death on Facebook to his see who will care enough to come to his funeral. As Michael's hoax spirals out of control, he begins to realize that.
Connections made online can never compare to the true relationships found in real life.
In this funny, zany film, while we laugh at the wild antics, we'll see a little bit of ourselves.
The actors did an amazing job of bringing life to this "sign of our times" story.
Congratulations to the filmmakers for giving voice to the profound role social media plays in our lives! I highly recommend this totally enjoyable film!
