I know I'm giving this one five start because I just LOVE it so much. After watching the movie, I've always longed for a friendship/relationship like the one that Ruth and Idgie had. Read it however you like, either they are friends or lovers, it doesn't matter, it's just a beautiful relationship. So is the one between Ninny & Evelyn.
Read the book after the movie and loved the book too.
