Review of Fried Green Tomatoes (1991) by Hannah D — 16 Jun 2012
This is a really lovely drama set in two eras fifty years apart. It was very unusual that it tugged at my heartstrings very early on when Buddy was sadly killed by a train. I really enjoyed the friendship between the two girls Idgie and Ruth as well as the relationship between the modern-day women Evelyn and Ninny, both played by wonderful actresses Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy.
