Review of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) by Bj W — 02 Jun 2008
The introduction sequence is confusing as hell for a first-time viewer, and clearly lacks continuity for anyone who saw at least one of the three first movies. The whole movie suffers from several flaws, the most obvious of them being near-zero originality and very weak pretexts for Jason coming back to life.
Almost everything in Part 4 has been already done in parts 1 to 3. Also, character development is almost non-existent (they are just there to be killed, save for "the good girl") and there is no clear reason for Jason to become uglier and of superhuman strenght after each movie.
