Review of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) by Erik O — 12 Jun 2008
Seven sequels later, the Final Chapter really doesn't seem all that final. Again, it's not my favorite entry, but I like it because of the storyline involving Corey Feldman, and the connection that he forms with Jason.
I thought the "Jason Hunter" was a bit of a wuss, once he finally got to go toe-to-toe with Jason ("He's killing me! Ah, he's killing me! He's killing me!" just shut up and die already!); he wasn't even trying to fight back.
But, all-in-all, I don't think that this is a bad entry. Love it or hate it, there's no denying that this series is very consistent, and rarely strays from the beaten path of the elements that have made it so popular.
