Review of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) by Hugo G — 22 Feb 2009
Roughly 63 times better made than its predecessors (and most of the sequels that followed), there's a lot of good about final chapter - jason is scarier, the camera work is more professional, the special effects more effective, and the acting (especially from crispin glover) not half bad.
which is not to say that like the ones before this movie doesn't get painful, just that it takes longer to reach that point. unfortunately, increasingly lacklustre kills and a truly dire ending mean that final chapter isn't as good as it should be.
